Out of stockThe switch module has been tested and approved to the required standard of IEC / SANS60669-1 and has been issued with an LOA (Letter of Authority) from the NRCS (National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications) allowing for the sale of the product in South Africa.
The switch is clearly marked with the current rating and indicates the on / off positions. A common application for the switch is for underfloor heating and cooling systems where the load does not exceed 20A.
The internal switch rockers are made from copper and have silver tip contacts to ensure the best possible conductance. The plastic casing is made from a mix of high quality plastics including flame retardant polycarbonate to ensure strength, durability and prevention against fires and nylon to allow for flexibility which ensures the module can easily be inserted or removed from the fixing frames. Once the module is inserted in the fixing frame it can only be removed with a small flat screw driver but due to the flexible properties of nylon the clipping mechanism can easily be pushed in to allow for removal of the module.
The switch terminals are clearly numbered with a corresponding wiring diagram on the side of the switch to make installation and connection as simple as possible. The switch terminals use a clamping mechanism as opposed to a screw connection in order to prevent stranded cable from breaking and coming loose. The switches come with a single large terminal for ease of connecting thicker or multiple cables.
