The User Interface Unit (UIU) is a remote display unit mounted inside the home which interacts with the WMD, Bulk WMD, utiliMeter and AquaData, which are generally installed in a meter box outside a consumer’s home.

This is the remote display unit installed in the consumer’s home which connects to the Prepaid Water Management Device outside the premises. UIU batteries are not user-replaceable, so when the batteries run out, a new UIU will need to be purchased.
